1921-1928 NEW ORLEANS Chessé’s first exposure to art was through Museums in New Orleans and Marc Antony a local set designer, decorator, and pupil of Chicago’s Herman Rossi. The French impressionists and the “Ashcan” schools of Clackens, Bellows and Henri were his first influences prior to settling in San Francisco in 1928. |
