RALPH CHESSÉ
1934-1940 WPA STYLE In 1934 Ralph Chessé was a member of the California Labor school, working alongside, Ralph Stackpole, Otis Oldfield, Manard Dickson Victor Arnautoff and others. The arrival of the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera was to permeate every aspect of the San Francisco art scene. Along with Labaudt he produced a mural for the Coit Tower WPA art Project, shown below. |
